About this program

Mission Trip Reflections offers you a sneak peek into the blessings of going on a mission trip with Family Church. Take a moment to read each one from the mission trips from 2025.

As Jesus commands in the Bible for us to GO into the world to share of His love and forgiveness, our response to a Mission Trip opportunity should be - "SEND ME."

Acts 1:8 - "But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”

Matthew 28:19 - "Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.

Christine - Puerto Rico - "Never forget how blessed you are. We live in the counry with the world's largest economy. Someone will always have more than you do, but there will always be someone who has less. While Puerto Rico is part of the United States, they experience significant poverty and income inequality compared to the mainland. The children loved learning about Noah's Ark and wearing raincoats in hopes of rain so that the raincoats could be used for their intended purpose. Small acts of kindness, generosity, or even just acknowledging others can create positive change in the lives of individuals and communities, demonstrating that the most impactful actions aren't always the grandest gestures."

Allison - Costa Rica - "As we worshiped at the church, I began to recognize the melody of a song we sing at the conclusion of our church services. As they sang in Spanish at Iglesia Cristiana Betel, they were singing - "May God bless you and keep you, make His face sign shine upon you and be gracious to you..." . It was a full-circle moment for the team in Costa Rica. It was a reminder that although miles apart, we are bound together in faith, love, and the mission God has called us to. This experience will live forever in our hearts."

Gretchen - Colombia - "We saw God at work in so many ways - in the relationships with the pastors, greetings from the people, within our Family Church team, in our outreach to children and the elderly, in the beauty of God's creation in Colombia, and so much more. It was so special to see each person on our team using their gifts, talents and abilities to serve others on behalf of the love of Jesus. We learned so much - you need to get out of your comfort zone, joy does not depend on wealth, in the end only people and Jesus truly matters."

Kristina - Kenya - "Imagine on the day you were born, a number was placed above your head representing the lives you were meant to impact. You may never know that number. But today, I was reminded that every single one matters. This morning, we went to the baby house to help aunties feed, hold, and love on the most precious little ones. Orphans, yes... but full of life, worth, and purpose. Later, we visited another children's home and gave out many hugs. For many kids, that may be the only hug they received that day. We came to be light just like Jesus who is the Light of the World. Sometimes impact is simply how much love you carry into the quiet places."
